Wonderful friendly place with an amazing selection of cakes.

The staff argues so loud that you can hear it! The hygiene rules are totally disregarded! We were in the café for 35 minutes and nobody wanted to know who we are, where we are from. The coffee was good and the apple strudel was especially good! Unfortunately, the staff and the disregard of the hygiene rules clouded the visit

The ice cream was very expensive, scoop € 1.80, the cake was good value for money.

Were there today around 11:30 a.m. No trace of compliance with hygiene regulations, table next to table without a safety distance, no cleaning of tables etc. after a change of guests, waiters sometimes without a mouth-nose mask. And the friendliest basement in the world (sarcasm). We wanted to look at the menu before ordering - he mumbled "still look" and did not come to us, walked past us several times without looking at us despite my address. I don't have to do to myself - and left.

So unfriendly that we left before ordering. I did not want to leave my money with them. *Four of the next five reviews(!)* before mine, chronologically, also say the service is extremely unfriendly, so I don’t believe it was caused by our language barriers... We walked down to a simple bakery one block away (Zechmeister) and had a fluffy, moist, and delicious Marmorkuchen and coffees. I do not recommend Cafe Forstner.

It was good, I drank beer, well, the woman wanted a coffee but unfortunately it didn't work anymore because it was after 6pm, so next time a little earlier 🤣👍

Café in a central square. When we wanted to order around 5:30 p.m., we were clearly informed that they would close at 6:00 p.m. Many places could no longer be occupied. We were still able to order a coffee (machine coffee, nothing special). The selection of cakes is very large, everything is homemade. The guests who came after us were admitted more and more unfriendly and around 5:45 pm it was over. It's a shame, because the rush itself was still very high.

Bad and unfriendly service. 30 minutes before the shop closed, we were just allowed to sit down and had to choose our food immediately. After only 10 minutes (not even eaten) we had to pay directly. Just rushed!

We were accepted as guests half an hour before closing, but the service was more than unfriendly. We became very stressed about choosing our dish. As soon as we had just started eating the cake, we billed directly. I felt like I was at the checkout in a supermarket. Can't recommend the cafe, service is not very important here.

Very unfriendly service at the cake counter, it is simply said that you don't have time. And is left standing.

The Kaiserschmarrn probably comes from the tray so evenly the pieces. I know that the dough is torn and I missed the raisins but ok, maybe not everyone likes it but the applesauce in the glass doesn't have to be

Very tasty 🍨 ice cream. We ordered strawberry sundaes, but without whipped cream. We got an extra scoop of ice cream for this. Very delicious vanilla ice cream, huge portion (also not common any more. Service friendly, but not intrusive. Hopefully we will make it there again on our vacation. Full marks. Only minus: very full. We were lucky that a table was just available .

Relaxed atmosphere with very friendly service 👍👍👍We enjoyed our breakfast on the market terrace for 3.5 hours 😉 and recharged our batteries after crossing the Watzmanngrat yesterday. Later guests obviously felt comfortable with delicious cakes, ice cream and a cafe. Thanks for the relaxed atmosphere and a good time for you despite CORONA restrictions ... keep it up!

Much better than anticipated, given the "tourist trap" location. Really good ice cream, fine service and OK prices. And yes, location :)
